TRANSITION INTO FALL WITH WARM APPLE SAUCE

RECIPE FOR WARM APPLESAUCE

2 medium apples

1 teaspoon gheeIMG_5076

1/4 teaspoon dried ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon honey

Peel, core and dice apples.  Combine apples in a small saucepan with 1/3 cup water and allow to simmer until tender and apples absorb water.

Add ghee, ginger, cinnamon and simmer for a few minutes more.  Remove from stove. After mixture cools down enough to eat, add honey.

Serve warm

Warm applesauce with cinnamon, ginger, ghee and honey will nurture your body as the season transitions to fall.

Cooked apples are easier to digest than raw apples.

I purchased Ceylon cinnamon on amazon.com. One pound for about $20.00. It is more expensive than grocery store cinnamon but this is the one to buy because it contains the health benefits we need.
